Organizing an industry to migrate to a common object technology baseline, organizing third-party suppliers, providing interoperability, and providing reuse and exchangeability of software components are common goals of many industries. This session, moderated by Alan Doniger (POSC Director of Technology), presented an ongoing case study of an entire industry that has successfully adopted common object-oriented models and is creating common object-oriented architectures for utilization industry-wide.
Moderator: Alan Doniger. Alan coordinates POSC involvement with oil industry and other organizations to promote the use of POSC specifications. He is currently leading the effort to define a distributed object architecture that supports business objects using a member-oriented, open process.
